Standing on the shoulder of Interstate 85, Agent Rachel Monroe looked Mitchell up and down
Mitchell fumbled with his chest harness. "It... the battery died. Technical glitch."
Rachel turned to Lawson. "Officer Lawson, is your camera active?"
"Yes, ma'am," Lawson stammered, pulling his eyes away from his partner. "Recorded everything from the moment we activated our emergency lights."
"Good," Rachel snapped. "Agent Carter, secure Officer Mitchell's department-issued equipment immediately as evidence in an ongoing federal corruption inquiry."
Mitchell backed away, his hands shaking slightly as he held them out. "You can't just seize my gear! I was performing a legitimate traffic stop! This guy was acting suspicious!"
