That evening, expensive cars filled the entrance.
Men in designer suits stepped onto the red carpet. Women wearing luxury jewelry walked beneath crystal lights. Cameras flashed as famous guests arrived one after another.
Everyone looked important.

Except for the older Black man who quietly walked through the front doors carrying a worn leather folder.
His name was Daniel Whitmore.
At seventy years old, Daniel looked nothing like the wealthy collectors usually seen inside the museum. He wore a simple brown jacket, plain black trousers, and old leather shoes that had clearly been repaired more than once.
