“Yes.”
“Confidence is good.”
“Ego is dangerous.”
Ryan didn't like hearing that.
Because he believed he had already reached a level where he didn't need advice.
The old man arrived on a Tuesday afternoon.
Nobody knew who he was.
He entered quietly.
No announcement.
No introduction.
He simply removed his shoes, bowed respectfully, and waited.
The younger students looked curious.
Ryan noticed him immediately.
The man looked around sixty-five years old.
Maybe older.
His movements were slow.
His posture seemed relaxed.
Nothing about him suggested experience.
At least, that was what Ryan thought.
“Master Lee.”
The old man bowed.
“It has been many years.”
Master Lee froze.
For a moment, he didn't speak.
Then his eyes widened.
“Daniel?”
The old man smiled.
“Yes.”
The room became quiet.
Some students looked confused.
Master Lee walked closer.
“I thought you were still traveling.”
“I was.”
“And now?”
Daniel looked around.
“Now I wanted to visit an old friend.”
Ryan watched.
He didn't understand why Master Lee seemed so surprised.
