"You didn't ask for my ID to verify my identity," Marcus continued, stepping closer, his imposing height towering over the trembling guard. "You asked for it to put me in my place. You saw a Black man in a hoodie, and you decided I was a threat. You didn't see an executive. You didn't even see a human being deserving of basic respect."

Marcus turned to Miller, his face a mask of absolute, unyielding authority. "Sergeant Miller."

"Yes, Sir."

"Strip him of his badge and radio. Right now."

Miller didn't hesitate. He stepped forward, ripping the security badge off Braddock's chest and yanking the radio from his shoulder.
