"Yes. I helped design part of it many years ago."
Ethan tried not to laugh.
The mansion was owned by one of the most successful real estate companies in America. Every visitor usually arrived wearing expensive suits, driving luxury cars, or carrying invitations.
Daniel had none of those things.
"Sir, this property is not open for random visitors," Ethan said politely.
Daniel looked at the walls surrounding the mansion.
"I understand. I was just curious if some of the original designs were still here."
Ethan smiled.
"Many people say they have connections to important projects."
The words were calm, but the message was obvious.
Ethan did not believe him.
Several workers nearby noticed the conversation but continued working.
Daniel simply nodded.
He had lived long enough to understand something important.
