Chapter 2: A Public Humiliation
Marcus calmly showed her his boarding pass.
"Seat 1B. That's my assigned seat."
Instead of apologizing, the woman laughed.
"Maybe you should check again," she said. "First class isn't somewhere people accidentally end up."
Several passengers nearby became quiet.
A businessman across the aisle lowered his newspaper. A young woman by the window stopped typing on her laptop.
Everyone could feel the tension growing.
Marcus remained calm.
"I understand mistakes happen. I just need my seat."
The woman looked around the cabin confidently.
