The grand ballroom of Pinnacle Tower was glowing with elegance.
Crystal chandeliers reflected across polished marble floors. Hundreds of guests in expensive suits and designer dresses gathered for the Sterling Foundation’s annual charity gala, an event designed to celebrate generosity and raise money for children in need.
But while everyone admired the luxury above, few people noticed the workers who made the entire evening possible.
Among them was Benjamin Anderson.
At 68 years old, Benjamin worked as a janitor at Pinnacle Tower. Every evening, he arrived through the service entrance wearing the same gray uniform, carrying the same cleaning supplies, and pushing the same old trash cart through the building.
To most people, he was invisible.
