Nobody celebrated.
Nobody laughed.
Because everyone understood what they had witnessed.
The old woman wasn't lucky.
She was better.
CHAPTER 8 — THE TRUTH BEHIND GRANDMA ELEANOR
After the fight, Marcus asked the question everyone wanted answered.
"Who are you?"
Eleanor smiled.
"I am Eleanor."
Marcus shook his head.
"No. Really."
The instructor finally spoke.
"She was my teacher."
The room became silent.
Students looked confused.
The instructor continued:
"She trained some of the greatest fighters this academy has ever seen."
Marcus looked at Eleanor.
"Why hide it?"
She answered:
"Because I wanted people to respect the person, not the reputation."
That answer stayed with everyone.
